Podium Format

  • Presentations are to last no longer than 10 minutes and will be followed by a 5-minute question and answer session
  • Authors are allowed to present with or without visual aids
  • Technology: (computers, projectors, etc.) will be provided for your presentation. If you wish to use powerpoint slides during your presentation, then you are required to bring a copy of your presentation (e.g. USB flash drive, download through online file storage, etc.) and save to the computers at the conference. Technological support will be available throughout the conference

Poster Format

  • The poster should be A0 size (A0 size is 841mm x 1189mm) in portrait orientation. The poster should be easily readable at a distance of 2m
  • Title and the content of the posters should be the same as the title and the content of the submitted abstract. Title should be shown at the top of the poster using title case with minimum of 48pt font size. 48 to 60pt font size is recommended for headings
  • Use UPPERCASE lettering only for headings. Do not use only UPPERCASE in the general content of the poster
  • The text in the content should be 24-32pt font size
  • The contents should encompass separate panels for introduction, methods, results and discussion and a clear conclusion
  • Figures and tables should consist of a short heading and the figure legends should be short but informative. Figures should be no smaller than 12cm X 18 cm

Virtual video presentation guidelines

Authors have the option of presenting their abstracts via video recordings if they are unable to attend the conference in person. Video recordings will be played at the conference, and authors will be connected via Skype for the question and answer session

  • Virtual video presentations are to last no longer than 10 minutes
  • You can choose the arrangement and the plot of the video
  • Video should be consistent with ppt slides
  • Presenting authors are required to connect live immediately following their video presentation screening via Skype for the question and answer session during the conference
Technical specifications for the video recording
  • .MOV .MPEG4 .MP4 .AVI .WMV and .FLV format
  • At least 720 p resolution
Instructions for video submission
  • Video recordings must be submitted by 25th October 2019, 12 mid night EST
  • Upload the video file to a file hosting service (e.g. Dropbox, Google Drive etc.) and share the download link by emailing to registration_rirc2019@rjt.ac.lk
  • Name the video file using your abstract ID
  • In the submission email please mention the following information;
    • Abstract ID
    • Title of the abstract
    • Full name of the author
    • Skype address (the mail address to be connected)
Connecting live for the discussion session
  • After we play the video presentation you are required to connect live via Skype for the 5-minute discussion session
  • Please make sure that you prepare in advance to connect live with the session at the designated time (Our Skype name: RIRC2019 RUSL)
  • We will provide your designated presentation time slot and day close to end of October 2019
